I ended the night with a glass of wine, a bubble bath, and a good movie (never fear, I am working on the February movie post).
Saturday, I woke up early thanks to a German Shepherd jumping on my bed and begging to be let outside. Drank some coffee, had some breakfast, then headed off the the gym for an easy four mile run. I then went and cleaned out the car, did some grocery shopping, and got a call from my friend to see if I wanted to go walk the Katy Trial.
We hadn't seen each other in awhile so we started talking and the next thing I know my legs started to feel like jello. Realizing we had just walked an hour in one direction, we turned around and headed back. Six miles later, we made it back to our car.
Six miles.
On top of the four miles I had already done that day.
Which means I walked ten miles completely not on purpose.
That night I laid on the couch icing my ankle. Yet my self inflicted disability forced me to sit down and do something I wanted to do for a long time: watch Downtown Abbey
Everything everybody has said about this show is true. I am obsessed. So obsessed that I stayed up massively late watching the whole first season. I'm a little bummed I have to watch season two on my ipad, but am happy PBS offers it for free.
Now I am settling in to watch the Osars and frankly I couldn't care less who wins. I didn't see most of the movies this year, and didn't really want to. It was a rough year for movies, wouldn't you agree?
Happy Monday, ya'll!

I looooove Downton Abbey! It's totally addictive :)
Ha I get to walking on the beach with a friend and just forget entirely that we still have to turn around all the time!
I watched all the Downtons and I loved them. I did like you though and watched them all in practically one sitting. Season 2 is gooooood.
You did 10 miles! Whoa! Way to go. I hope you ate something really good to reward yourself for all of those calories you burned!
I've got to watch Downton Abbey. Everyone has been raving and I keep putting it off for some reason.
I absolutely adore Downton Abbey--I thought season 2 was a little bit more soapy, but I don't necessarily mean that as a bad thing ;)
I took the first step and added Downton to my Netflix queue. I haven't pulled the trigger and watched an episode yet :)
