Royal Wedding!

HAPPY WEDDING DAY!  To all of you who poo-poo the fun of this day bah humbug to you!  I personally am all for the world celebrating happy events together!  I woke up at 6AM and started watching...

I fastforwarded through most of it until Prince William and Harry arrived. I was struck by how lucky the two of them are to have each other now that Diana is gone (and Charles is such a twat).

Speaking of the twat!

The Queen looked adorable in her bright yellow hat and dress.  She's so fantastic.

I was so impressed that they were able to get Kate in the car without anybody catching a peek!

When she got out I was...shocked that it was kind of plain.  But I have since decided that it was elegant and will stand the test of time.  I am pretty sure she could have worn a paper sack and still looked lovely.  But I was really pleased that she wore her hair half down.  She has such great hair. (Speaking of lovely, her sister is really pretty too! Perhaps she could marry Harry and we could have a Royal Wedding 2.0?)

Not going to lie, I got a little teary eyed as she walked down the aisle.

I then really cried when Harry stole a peek and whispered to William how amazing she looked.  When William leaned over and told her she looked beautiful, I heard all the woman in the world collectively swoon.

The vows were beautiful but I am still disgruntled that William is not wearing a ring.

Then! Man and wife! Happy day!

Did you watch the Royal Wedding?

I forgot to record the wedding! I woke up, got to work and remembered. Now everyone is talking about it and I feel so left out. :( Thankfully everyone's blogs are helping me catch up.

I'm torn over Kate's dress. She looks beautiful, and it's definitely a classic choice but I expected something different. I don't know what -- just different.

I'm all for a Pippa/Harry wedding too!

I loved the whole thing! It was just so beautiful! And this from someone who had no interest in the wedding until I randomly woke up at 5am this morning. I think my subconscious knew I would love it. I thought Kate was just gorgeous. I want to get married all over again and have choir boys and 6 flower girls and guests with hats. Sigh.

I thought her dress was beautiful and so timeless. I love that it was more modest!

I watched and I completely agree with all your thoughts on it! (Except possibly about Charles - I tend to think of him as just weak, not necessarily trying to hurt anyone, but I could be wrong.)

My favorite moments were absolutely when William leaned over to tell her she's beautiful, and when they laughed together on the balcony before kissing. Beautiful!

I loved it! Although I have to admit to dozing a little after they said their vows. I died at the part when he told her she was beautiful! So cute!

I watched part of it, the church was amazing! I'm glad someone else thought her dress was plain, I wanted to to look like a princess, not just anyone getting married!

I actually watched too - I LOVE love LOVE her dress. I didn't know what to expect, but I think they did such a great job of making it classic and royal looking while still being accessible and trendy enough for a young bride in 2011. It was so much prettier and more classic than Diana's dress! It reminds me of Grace Kelly's dress which is just gorgeous!

I don't get why he doesn't wear a ring either, I totally noticed that.

I know you can't feel bad for Kate, but I wonder if in the real world she would have wanted bridesmaids and other traditional wedding things that she couldn't do because it was a "royal wedding". Yeah, I still don't feel bad for her :)

Nooo I am going to marry Harry! Haha he was always my favorite. I got up at 4 to watch! How cute was it when they kissed at Buckingham Palace (lame kiss!) and the little girl had her hands over her ears haha

I got up at 4:45 to watch, and it was well worth it. I like the idea of Harry and Pippa, he is adorable. I loved the dress. I was made when people are hating on it, I think it is definitely elegent and timeless. Afterall you can't where whatever you like up in Wesminister Abbey!
