Today is Earth Day...and in celebration of Earth Day lots of blogs are posting on various earth-related topics. I, however, am taking a strong stance against earth day because of THIS post.
BEES SHOULD NOT BE SAVED!
I CALL A BOYCOTT ON ALL THINGS ANTHROPOLOGIE RELATED!
Lets go over the pros and cons of bees, shall we?
PROS: Pollinate flowers.
Honey
(both of which I could live without btw)
CONS: They can sting you
They can fly after you and try to sting you
They are an obnoxious color
They are mean
They ruin flowers by hiding in them and jumping out at you when you smell the flower
They killed that little boy on "My Girl"
No saving the ugly flying insects of murder and pain infliction!!!! I call for a mass murder of all things bees!
(speaking of bee things...on my last post regarding my Melissaphobia issues Maureen wrote a hil-ar-ious comment that all should read.)

Not hilarious Melissa, TRAGIC!
I'm with you. I do love flowers though. But they've sure come a long way in the manufacture of plastic flowers. Sometimes you can't even tell the difference! I wonder if they have scented ones.... ooooh... new business model?
Well, I'm not really with you here.... sorry! I know bees can sting, but for the most part they are not aggressive. Plus, without the bees to pollenate flowers, trees, and crops, they wouldn't bear fruit or produce new plants. Or at least many of them.
Oh, and please don't use plastic flowers!!! There is a lady down the street from me who puts plastic flowers in her outdoor flower pots every season, and it drives me nuts!! Real flowers are not that expensive or hard to take care of. She has time to mow and water her lawn, she can water a couple pots of flowers.
